Steam For Windows Mac

So recently I'm forced to use my 13' mbp as my main computer for at least a couple of months. I had a desktop that I would normally game with but now that my sister is using it for schoolwork, that's not possible. I never even thought about using my mbp for gaming, let alone a 13' model, but now I'm getting desperate. I don't plan on running anything that intense.

On your Mac/PC it should automatically scan for Chromecast devices so all you have to do is click continue once you see your Chromecast. Step 8: You should be prompted to change your TV input until you see a screen with your code. Using Chromecast App for Android, Windows 10, MAC, iPhone and Google Chrome you can cast entertainment content over several devices ranging from Android, iPhone, MAC, VLC Chromecast to TV and Desktop. Click one of the buttons below to download the Google Home app on your mobile phone or tablet Tap the button below to download the Google Home app Available on Android 4.0.3 or later. Download and install Chromecast using the Chrome setup screen Agree to Chromecast privacy terms and click accept button. Once terms are accepted, your webpage will search for available Chromecast devices connected to your Wi-Fi network. If your Mac cannot find the Chromecast, switch the Wi-Fi network from 2.4 to 5 gigahertz or vice versa. Download chrome cast for safari

Windows doesn't care if you're on a Mac, if it's a working computer and you can install it, Windows will work on Mac beautifully on Boot Camp. Boot Camp is beautiful, remember that. NEVER PLAY A WINDOWS GAME ON MAC WITH A VIRTUAL MACHINE LIKE PARALLELS OR VMWARE. Steam for Mac provides over 3500 games available to purchase, download, and play from any computer. Check out the new releases, indie hits, casual favorites and everything in between. Take the fun with you. Also Available: Download Steam for Windows.

I usually play some Team Fortress 2 and Counter-strike: Source. My main question is: for those of you that have had experience, which would be a better solution for me? Using Bootcamp and installing Windows XP or getting Steam for Mac? I'm not sure how the process goes for Bootcamp. I'm imagining you would have to dedicate some hard drive space. On the other hand, I've heard that Steam on Mac runs pretty slow compared to it's Windows counterpart.

Anyone know if this is true? Appreciate the help. Also, I'm running on the 13' 2010 base model. (2.4 Ghz, 4GB ram, 250 GB Hard drive etc.). Click to expand.I could give a rats behind on what frames per second I get as long as the game runs great, I have no problems running Portal.

If the games are unplayable (which they are not) then yeah, whatever, knock yourself out and waste hard drive space and money installing a whole different OS just to do that. I play TF2, Portal and Torchlight and they all run beautifully under OS X. You said that source games run like crap on OS X and that's simply not true. What is your issue where you need to be so hostile? Calm down and don't put out over exaggerated false info.

I have steam installed on OS X and have win7 with steam there. Yeah, it's faster in win but honestly if TF2 is your game, you won't have problems with either setup. I run it at max resolution with no stuttering or slowdowns in OS X. What WILL make a bigger difference is the actual availability of games. Many titles are not out on mac, including many notable VALVE games, like Left 4 Dead 1 or 2.

This will be why you break down and install windows on your macbook. But in the end it won't matter. You can game on it and not feel deprived. You just have options.

You can redownload them. Most games on Steam come with a Mac and Windows version, if a Mac version is available. Since you only own Mac games, those games also included a Windows license for the games. There are a few exceptions of course. I can't say all of them will work like that, but you can check the game's store page. If it shows both the Apple loge and Windows logo, then it included bothe when you bought it. You will have to redownload and possibly start over for the games as the two OSs use diffrent files and file systems.
