Or just set them yourself. The interface is much cleaner and faster than the standard X-Plane 10 interface.) Here is how it works: Simply fire up X-Plane on your Macintosh, Windows, and Linux personal computer and Control Pad on your iPhone or iPad.

As long as they are all logged into the same network, they will see each other, and: Viola! You now have an Instructor Operator Station for X-Plane on your iPad! Now, on your iPad, you can load aircraft, set location, set the weight and balance of the airplane you are flying, set the weather in X-Plane, see a map complete with plan and profile views to see how well you are flying your approaches, and even induce any of the aircraft equipment failures possible in X-Plane (currently, up to 554 possible failures!) So, with this App, you can take X-Plane from a fun flight simulator up to a pro-level training experience. Assuming, of course, that you can handle the heat.

The IFR final, VFR final, and take-off initialization options now work with the latest X-Plane 10.50 betas! As well, the aircraft-selection list is organized a bit better and shows ALL of the aircraft in your X-Plane folder. Other recent mods: Touch any NAVAID on the map in ControlPad.

A little box comes up around it. Tap the bottom half of the box to FAIL the NAVAID! So, now you can fail NAVAIDs in ControlPad! Now we set the resolution to really use the iPadPRO, which works out to be a pretty darn cool instructor station! New user interface color options.
