Insert Text Field In Word For Mac
Word adds quotation marks to date-time format switches if you insert a field by using the Date and Time command in the Text group of the Insert tab or the Field dialog box. Back to formatting switches. For best results, create your forms in tables. Place the label in one cell and the form field in another cell next to it. To restrict entry to a certain amount of space, insert a one-row, one-column table, and set the row height to 'Exactly'.
UPDATE: I reviewed and research on this topic and watched some video tutorials too and found them very helpful. Now i started with adding some TEXTBOX under the DEVELOPER tab to link with another TEXTBOX as a bookmark. I use the INSERT option to add fields on the 'second textbox' (not the BOOKMARK) linking it as REF under linking and references category. Use the option key and choose the BOOKMARK tab to choose the corresponding Textbox Field.
Make sure that the form is UNPROTECTED to access these features. I added a feature from TOOLS > Customize Keyboard to change the keyboard shortcut to update the file and run the MACRO; else you can just use the print preview to update all the fields. This is what i did on my MACRO. Thanks guys for all your help.;).
Hi, Any help much appreciated! I am trying to create a contract template for regular use with Office for Mac 2008. The contract stays standard but there are a number of fields which will change each time e.g.
'Client name', 'contract start date', 'contract value' etc. Is there a way that I can insert a field which requires / prompts me to change these values. Currently I am using XXXX's and using find and replace, however, a more solid system would be preferable.
The data for these fields does not come from anywhere else in the document i.e. I don't see a way to use AutoText or the standardised fields. Microsoft access for a mac.
Basically, just looking for a way to go into the document and quickly jump to those fields which are titled but require editing. Again, any help much appreciated. Many thanks, Mark. Ok, didn't quite get all the way to where I wanted to be but got something that fits the bill.
I basically used the 'Forms' tool to create editable text sections and then used bookmarks to allow me to go through them quickly, so: Office for Mac 08 1. View in the top control 2. Check 'Forms' This then brings up the forms toolbar. Then select the area you want and click 'ab' to insert a text field. Double click the area to: a. Put in a 'default' value by clicking b.
Name the field c. Create a bookmark 6. Then when you want to edit it click 'GoTo (CMD+G) and you can select the bookmark you want. Edit the field right there. Hope that helps. May be an easier way to do it, but works for me.
Cheers, Mark.
