This page explains step-by-step how to increase the size of text, or make the entire web page larger, in the Safari web browser running on Mac OS X systems. You can change the settings temporarily, or for every time you surf the internet.

Safari highlights all matches on the Web page and also enlarges them. Optionally, you can change how Safari searches on the page by clicking the magnifying glass next to the Find field. The number of matches is displayed on the Find bar. Give the page a name that you’ll recognize later. 4 From the Where pop-up menu, navigate to where you want to store the file on your system. To expand the sheet to allow navigation to any location on your system, click the button with the downward arrow.

Enable access for assistive devices on mac sierra. To increase or decrease the magnification of a web page in Safari, press Apple and ' +' (plus) to zoom in, or Apple and ' -' (minus) to zoom out. To return the text to its original size, press Apple + 0. You can also do this via the menu bar, as shown in Fig 1. Click on ' View', or press Ctrl + F2 to highlight the menu bar and press the right arrow key to open the ' View' drop-down menu. If you want to only change the text size rather than everything on the web page, make sure ' Zoom Text Only' is ticked.

You can tick or untick it by clicking on it, or use the arrow keys to highlight it and then press Enter. Click ' Zoom In' to increase the text size, or ' Zoom Out' to decrease the text size. Alternatively, use the arrow keys to highlight one of the size options and then press Enter. (In older versions of Safari, you need to choose either ' Make Text Bigger' or ' Make Text Smaller'). Step 2: Choose the font size for all web pages you visit Click on the ' Select' button to the right of the 'Standard font' box (in the example in Fig 2, it says 'Times 16'), or press Tab until the ' Select' button is highlighted and then press the Spacebar. This will open the 'Fonts' window, as shown in Fig 3.

Fig 3 Click on the text size you want from the list below the ' Sizes' header. Alternatively, press Ctrl + F6 and then Ctrl + F7 and then press Tab until the box below the ' Sizes' header is highlighted. Enter the text size you want, or press Tab again and then use the up and down arrow keys to scroll through the list until the size you want is highlighted. When you are happy with your choices, click on the red close button or press Esc to close the 'Fonts' window. Click on the red close button or press Esc to close the 'Appearance' window and return to Safari.
