This is probably for malicious intent and even if not it it a garbage application. Developer Response, Due to the restrictions of the Mac App Store, we couldn't include part of Sound Booster (namely the driver) in the App Store submission. Instead, this component needs to be downloaded from the official FroYoSoft website here: I can assure you this file isn't malicious, and is actually integral in enabling Sound Booster's more important features such as system wide equalizer, volume boosting, and individual application volume adjustments.
